GENEVA and WASHINGTON – Aug. 20, 2026 | Gold Standard and Verra have launched a new tool to help host countries report corresponding adjustments for carbon credits authorized under Article 6.2 of the Paris Agreement. The tool provides a single comprehensive record of corresponding adjustments (CAs) for all authorized credits, issued by either standards body, that host countries are due to report in their 2026 Biennial Transparency Reports (BTRs). Depending on each country’s accounting approach under Article 6, the tool automatically populates the required summary table for submission alongside their 2026 BTR. In accordance with Article 6.2 of the Paris Agreement, participating countries must apply corresponding adjustments for authorized carbon credits to prevent double counting. This ensures that an emission reduction is not counted by both the country where it occurred and by the user, such as another country or an airline under CORSIA.
